A leasehold is an ownership of land held by a landlord or lessor. A leasehold is a tenure in which an individual buys the right to occupy a property for a given length of time. There are multiple types of leaseholds, but the three most common are Lease for Years, Tenancy at Will, or Periodic Lease.
