Is Health Insurance Included in my Job? |
|
Answer:
Not necessarily. Offering health insurance For those that do offer health insurance, many will offer it only to eligible employees. Their definition of eligible may be employees who work a certain number of hours each week. In addition, you may not be eligible for health insurance until after you have worked through a probation period. To further complicate matters, when employers offer health insurance you may be expected to pay for it or at least a portion of it. The days of employer paid health plans are nearly gone thanks to the soaring cost of health care and health insurance. Even if your employer pays for your health insurance, you may have to pay for insuring your family members. Employer health insurance is no longer as common as it once was. As health insurance costs continue to rise, more and more employers are shifting a greater share of the costs to their employees. Trackback(0)
