How can I contact the Arkansas Department of Insurance and Insurance Commissioner?

Answer:
The Arkansas Insurance Department (AID) maintains

a website at http://insurance.arkansas.gov/, where there are numerous links to a wide variety of helpful resources, including Consumer Assistance (1-800-852-5494), Senior Health Insurance Information Program (SHIIP -- 1-800-224-6330), and many others.

The AID website Related Links brings up another list of very useful resources like ARKids First (childrens' health insurance program); ARHealthNet (small-business health insurance program); CHIP (Comprehensive Health Insurance Pool for AR residents); Medicare; Social Security; and many more.

The AID website Contact Us link provides means for sending email communications to a number of agencies or sub-groups within the Arkansas Insurance Department.  However, there is no link for direct contact to the Arkansas Insurance Commissioner (currently Julie Benafield Bowman).  Calling the AID main telephone number (see below) should provide further instructions for contacting the Commissioner directly.  I suspect some Commissioners prefer not to publish direct contact information, for a variety of reasons, not the least of which is that they would very likely not be able to keep up with it all.

The AID address and phone/fax numbers are:

Arkansas Insurance Department
1200 West Third Street
Little Rock, AR 72201

Phone: (501)371-2600 or 1-800-282-9134
